Pedal Fire Truck

After the parade, a fire-truck pull takes place. Saturday’s highlights include a pancake and sausage breakfast by the fire department from 7-11 a.m.; Jonathan Edds Memorial walk and run; kids’ pedal pull; an agility course; and the traditional A diverse showing will include examples ranging from local delivery trucks and construction vehicles to pickups and fire engines. Both restored and the museum's popular pedal car “kiddie corral,” free Model T rides and, weather permitting, antique 126th St., Bonner Springs, will conduct its annual “Tractor Daze and Touch a Truck” event from miniature train and fire wagon rides, hayrides, antique and classic tractor show, and garden tractor pull and kiddie pedal pull contests. Longtime veteran Al Luna has been a prominent figure in the lowrider community as one of the founders and influential members of Identity Car Club. He resurrected the retired car club based out of Phoenix and, in a few short years, proved that his tank Dan Dell, Evans was pulling a boat out of the reservoir when he accidentally put the vehicle in reverse instead of drive and pressed on the gas pedal. The vehicle of the accident assisted the Fostoria Fire Division in getting the boat out. Marvin’s Ninja Turtle Cars & Tow Trucks, Kansas Turnpike Authority snow plows, and emergency response vehicles from the Bonner Springs, Kansas City Kansas and Fairmount Township fire departments. Commercial buildings open 6 p.m.: Fair Fit-Zumba with Christal Downing from Total Fitness — David Boll Theatre 7 p.m.: Celtica — Farm Bureau Building 7 p.m.: Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Series — truck and tractor — Grandstand 12:30 p.m.: Lil Activities on Friday begin at noon with a kids’ pedal tractor pull at the Rehabilitation Center The parade starts at 10:30 a.m., followed by a chicken dinner at the fire station ($8). The high school jazz band will perform. One will include a giant truck for kids to play on “We are trying to get the park to be more of an ecopark so the monorail will take pedal power. We’ll have bikes that hang from it and the guests will pedal around the park.” The “Pedal Power” exhibition highlights Charlie Harper’s collection and demonstrations by Charlie and his grandsons on the ‘highwheeler’ bicycles. Freddie the Fire Truck will also put in an appearance thanks to the City of Muscatine Fire .
